About Carl Friis-Hansen
I am another individual borne in Denmark last century.
The last thirty years I have lived abroad in Germany, USA, Scotland, The Netherlands and Sweden.
Now I have the fortune of residing in the south of Sweden on a tiny farm.
My professional carrier has lead to my employment in many great companies like Kaisers Laboratorium,
Dansk Elektro Instrument Fabrik, Vestas, Philips BsC, Vantive, Peoplesoft and Apple.
About 60% of my carrier I have developed electronic systems for measurement, process control and data aquisation.
During many years of physical illness, I developed a very fast high level C++ application, u3Base,
for controlling LabJack equipment and recently also a GUI monitor over client/server for the u3Base system.
The picture is from Hesselø in Denmark where I pose together with our pet seal Igor.
In the Danish language they are called seal dogs and their behaviour is not that far apart from man's best friend.
u3Base class for LabJack U3 (U9)
Have a look
u3Base source and documentation.
It is a high level C++ Interface to the Labjack hardware for the Linux OS.
In the pipeline is a stable version of client(s) / server system and a GUI
visualization application to monitor and interact with an u3Base application.

EDLAB is a website from mid 1990.
It is no longer maintained, and left untouched since end 1990.
Climate Change
WattsUpWithThat is maybe the most visited website regarding Climate Science and Polecy.
This site enjoys many competent and well educated people to write this wealth of informative articles about fact and fiction
surrounding the Climate talk.
From Dr. Roy Spencer's website 24th August 2017:
Skeptic Beating Al Gore on Amazon
August 24th, 2017
Al Gore’s new movie, An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power, has been in theaters for about a month now, and has received rather tepid reviews.
The
Kindle e-book version of Gore’s movie, despite being very colorful, has been doing even worse and is currently running at #20,768 overall on Amazon, and is not ranked #1 in any sub-category.
But the skeptic take-down of Gore’s new movie and book,
An Inconvenient Deception: How Al Gore Distorts Climate Science and Energy Policy, is at #956, and is #1 in three sub-categories.
What makes the discrepancy even worse is that An Inconvenient Deception was self published, with no paid advertising.
Maybe people are finally wising up to Mr. Gore.
My remarks
Shortly after the book was published, there appeared to be DNS attack on the website:

Where to find Carl
Map from E4 over Ljungby to Nybygget. Click for lager image (1MByte)
From Ljungby drive 1 mil (11km) of road 124 towards Liatorp and turn left towards Stensjöholm.
It is the red farm house at the corner.
In case this makes no sense to you, consider waiting for the fly on your screen, to walk to the right point on the map.
DroneHyr - Drones in the air in Sweden for You
Autumn 2018 at new roundabout in Ljungby.
Prise worthy professional areal photo and video with
DroneHyr by Carl Friis-Hansen.
Just like buying a digital camera and do point and shoot, so is it with todays drones or Unmanned Areal Vehicles.
However, the road to good pictures and videos from drones, is paved with difficulties and legal issues.
In general you are not allowed to provide other people with areal photos and videos as a hobbyist,
without mandatory insurance, even for free service. These are the
rules specific to Sweden.
On the other hand, you are free to fly your bird in the major parts of Sweden, it is fun and a wonderful hobby.
When you fly, please always do it responsibly, within the rules and guidelines and keep your bird within Visual Line of Sight.
The drone rules in Sweden are actually relative free when it comes to the flying itself, and we hope it will continue to be that way.
This I why exercises like flying above the clouds, kilometers away, over crowds and busy roads, are things
which may results in headlines, finds, jail, death and bad karma over drones.
Instead, exercise flying without GPS, which will give you much smoother videos. Learn how to fly low and capture this natural
perspective you see in so many adverts and films today. It takes praxis to learn, and you may loose control at times. In case you feel
you are about to loose control in non-GPS mode, hit the switch to go into GPS mode and the drone will stop mid air, giving you time
to consider what to do next.
In the end, when you made your areal video, post processed it and made it ready for Youtube - do this if you flew in Sweden:
Before your great video goes to Youtube, Vimeo, Facebook, etc., you may most likely have to apply to Lantmäteriet for approval.
Wait until you get approval from
Lantmäteriet before you upload the video or picture.
